Lisa Sharling

Program Director

Lisa Sharling has worked in infectious disease epidemiology and research project management for around 12 years. After completing her PhD and post-doc in parasitology, and while completing her MPH in Global Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health Lisa worked with CDC’s TB Field Service Branch as an intern and then an ORISE Fellow. She joined Dr. Henry Blumberg’s team at Emory in 2011, providing support for the Fogarty programs in Ethiopia and Georgia, and the School of Medicine’s Global Health Residency Scholars Program. From 2017 Lisa worked as the Associate Director of Research Projects for the Emory-led TB Research Unit. Prior to joining TRAC, Dr. Sharling worked with CDC’s Extramural Research Program Office in the Global Health Center for the past three years. Lisa is excited to have the opportunity to support the TB community again at Emory and beyond.
