Kogieleum Naidoo

Kogieleum Naidoo, PhD MBBS is an international collaborator for TRAC as part of the International CPS Core and an Internal Advisory Board Member in the Administrative Core. She is also the Deputy Director of CAPRISA, South Africa. Her research interests include TB/HIV and drug resistance to TB, and she has extensive experience in drug resistance TB research as CAPRISA’s Head of TB and HIV Treatment Research. She also serves as a clinical member of the National DR-TB Clinical Advisory Committee. This Committee will advise the National TB Cluster in the formulation of policies and strategies of new DR-TB regimens and treatment guidelines. In addition, the committee will monitor new treatment regimens and provide oversight on the clinical management of complex individual patients with DR-TB.
