Jeff Collins, MD, MPH

BISB Core Co-Director

Dr. Collins is the Co-Director of the Bioinformatics and Integrated Systems Biology (BISB) core of the TRAC. He received his B.A. degree in Spanish from the University of Michigan in 2005 and a combined M.D./M.P.H. degree in 2011 from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Colorado and training in infectious diseases and clinical research at Emory University. His interests include clinical, translational and epidemiologic tuberculosis (TB) research with a focus on 1) using approaches in high-resolution metabolomics and lipidomics to identify novel biomarkers and host-pathogen interactions across the spectrum of TB infection and disease, 2) exploring the epidemiology of active and latent TB in the United States and 3) optimizing latent TB testing and treatment programs.
